Monument map arrives in Delta Force on Xbox – what changes
Delta Force on Xbox Series X|S has received a major addition to its Warfare mode – the Monument map, launched with Season Ahsarah. The free-to-play shooter currently spans three experiences: Operations (an accessible, Operator-based extraction mode), the Black Hawk Down PvE campaign, and large-scale Warfare battles. Monument expands that last pillar with a sprawling desert battlefield built around a pyramid complex. The studio says it rethought the map after on-site research, prioritizing an authenticity-first approach over its usual gameplay-first pipeline.
From tribute to redesign: why Monument exists

The team frames Monument as a modern nod to “Operation Monument” from Delta Force: Land Warrior. A pyramid-themed pitch quickly stuck, but a planned homage turned into a ground-up rethink after a field trip to study dunes and architecture. According to the developers, real-world elevation and scale forced a redesign that leaned on photogrammetry to sculpt more organic combat spaces.
“With modern tech, we finally had the power to deliver the desert atmosphere and pyramid experience we’d imagined,” said Kai, a level designer on the map.

“Seeing the pyramid complex in person changed everything – the terrain’s elevation and scale far exceeded what we’d built,” added Wei, a 3D environment artist.
Layout and flow – four sectors, routes for days

Monument is split into four sectors designed to shift playstyles as fights advance toward and into the pyramid. Warfare mode supports both vehicle and infantry combat across a growing rotation of maps, and Monument is positioned as one of its largest, with abundant POIs and alternate routes.
- Sector A – an abandoned town that favors mid-range skirmishes and flanking through tight streets.
- Sector C – rolling dunes with elevation swings that challenge visibility and vehicle maneuvering.
- Sector D – interior pyramid combat featuring orderly corridors and secret passages attributed to tomb raiders, enabling stealthy reroutes when frontal pushes stall.

Developers highlight a deliberate progression of atmosphere: from distant settlement, across open sands, to a claustrophobic interior where sand filters through cracks and regional instruments, including the Ney, punctuate the soundtrack.
Season Ahsarah – what’s included on Xbox
Alongside Monument, the season introduces a new Engineer Operator, Gizmo, and several console-focused updates. The studio confirms console-only cross-play with the season rollout and native mouse-and-keyboard support on Xbox Series X|S, plus other console-specific improvements.
Modes currently available
- Operations – Operator-based extraction shooter.
- Black Hawk Down – PvE campaign.
- Warfare – large-scale battles on multiple maps, now including Monument.
Final takeaway – why Monument matters
Monument aims to fuse spectacle with readability, using real-world terrain data to carve more natural encounters while preserving multiple attack vectors. For players, that means varied combat phases, richer navigation inside and out of the pyramid, and platform-side features – from console-only cross-play to native mouse-keyboard – that broaden how squads can jump in.
