Nintendo has announced the next Emerald Rush event for Donkey Kong Bananza. The time-limited activity runs from January 20, 2026, 12:00 a.m. PT to January 26, 2026, 11:59 p.m. PT. Participation is exclusive to the DK Island & Emerald Rush DLC, which requires the full game. This iteration introduces a key twist to the usual format: elements that are normally random will be predetermined. Players can earn in-game statues of Tucks and Lord Fredrik.
What’s changing in this Emerald Rush
The event departs from the standard Emerald Rush by fixing outcomes that typically vary from run to run. Specifically, skills obtained from Banandium Gems will be predetermined, reducing randomness and placing greater emphasis on routing and execution. The change should allow players to plan around known loadouts instead of adapting to unpredictable rolls.
