Nintendo has scheduled a limited-time rollout of holiday-inspired user icon elements for player profiles. The content is distributed in three December waves, each running one week in Pacific Time. These elements are redeemable using My Nintendo Platinum Points and are part of the rotating Missions & Rewards program. According to Nintendo, icon elements refresh monthly, so the lineup will change after the current windows close.

The holiday icon elements are split into three time-limited waves. Each opens at 5:00 p.m. PT and closes at 4:59 p.m. PT the following week.

All times are Pacific Time, with each wave running for a 7-day window.

Access and rotation

The icon elements are available through the Nintendo Switch Online app on Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch systems. Nintendo notes that icon elements update every month, meaning new selections will appear after the December drops conclude.

Eligibility and redemption basics

Redemption requires a Nintendo Account and My Nintendo Platinum Points. Terms for earning and redeeming points apply as per Nintendo’s standard program rules.

Final takeaway – what players should know

These holiday icon elements are time-gated and rotate quickly. If profile customization matters to you, the key is tracking the three weekly windows and ensuring you have Platinum Points ready before each wave closes.
