Rabbids: Takeover is now live on Roblox, introducing an asymmetrical combat format that pits Rabbids against Robloxians in short, objective-driven matches. Developed in partnership with Exclusible, the experience centers on a single target – a weather machine that either team must destroy or defend. Each match runs for 5 minutes and assigns players to attack or defense at random. At launch, the game features eight character classes across both factions and two maps that nod to Roblox’s past, with additional locations planned after release.

How a match plays out

Rabbids: Takeover is built around one objective: the weather machine. The Rabbids serve as attackers and aim to destroy it before the cycle completes and rain starts, while Robloxians hold the line to keep it online. Rounds are 5-minute sprints, encouraging quick switches between roles and tactics. Players can change class at the start of a round and on respawn, allowing teams to adapt to the push–pull of each fight.

Teams, roles, and progression

Both sides field four unique classes designed to complement each other. Robloxians can deploy builds to bolster defenses, while Rabbids can call in Rabbid bots and unlock weapons via washing machines scattered around the maps. The result is a mix of area control, utility, and burst damage that encourages coordinated skirmishes and creative flanks.

Class overview – roles and signature tools

The lineup covers support, bruiser, shooter, assassin, and hybrid roles. Below is a condensed look at the options on both sides.

Team Class Role Signature traits
Rabbids The Fashionista (Gala) Support Heals allies via spotlight aura; paparazzi swarm retaliates when damaged
Rabbids The Pet Owner (Malo) Bruiser Companion animals bite nearby foes; can summon a high-health guard pet
Rabbids The Hacker (Scrap) Alchemist/Control Poison damage over time; can hijack Robloxian builds
Rabbids Mr. Robot (Ribbo) Tank/Bruiser Cardboard armor mitigates damage; radio shockwave briefly stuns foes
Robloxians Redwake (Rox Harlow) Bruiser Cutlass and flintlock; remote-detonated TNT ultimate for area denial
Robloxians Popshot (Lexi Vale) Shooter Paintball gun, blaster, and mines; wide-area paint launcher ultimate
Robloxians Ghostline (Emi Yoru) Assassin Dual-katana dash and shuriken; smoke bomb grants invisibility and mobility
Robloxians Iron Ladle (Finn Molina) Support Heals with culinary treats; mobility whistle summons moped; team-heal cake drop

Maps at launch – movement and objectives

  • Robloxia – A city split between a high-rise core and suburban blocks. Players can traverse via skateboard. The weather machine is stationed at Roblox HQ, a central landmark.
  • Cutlass Cove – A deserted island outpost with a stranded galleon guarding the weather machine. Movement options include wheelbarrows along the shore, canoes across the inlet, and cannons to blast onto the ship’s decks.

Between rounds

The lobby includes light activities such as trampolines and slides. It serves as a staging area before the next 5-minute push to attack or defend the objective.

Roadmap note

The team signals that additional maps are planned after launch, building on the two locations that reference Roblox’s history.

Why it matters – quick matches, clear objectives

Rabbids: Takeover leans into fast, 5-minute objectives and distinct class identities, making it easy to jump in and learn while leaving room for coordination. If you enjoy asymmetrical team play and tight, objective-focused rounds, this setup puts the focus on timing, map movement, and class synergy.
