Rainbow Six Mobile dated: 5v5 arrives on phones Feb 23
Ubisoft has set a global rollout for Rainbow Six Mobile on February 23, bringing the franchise’s tactical FPS format to iOS and Android. The free-to-play release focuses on 5v5 competitive play and adapts familiar Siege systems for touch controls. At launch, players can expect three core modes, a roster of more than 20 Operators, and a slate of Siege-inspired maps alongside mobile exclusives. An onboarding tutorial is included to ease newcomers in, with additional content planned on a seasonal cadence. The game is already live in select regions ahead of the worldwide release.
Launch day package – modes, maps, and Operators

Rainbow Six Mobile centers on short, tactical rounds with clear objectives and role-based teamwork. Ubisoft highlights the following features available on day one:
- Modes – Bomb, Bomb Rush, and Team Deathmatch deliver distinct 5v5 pacing, from objective-focused play to elimination-driven skirmishes.
- Maps – A mix of Siege fan favorites and mobile-first designs: Bank, Border, Clubhouse, Oregon, Villa, plus two mobile-exclusive arenas, Restaurant and Summit.
- Operators – A launch pool of 20+ includes known names like Ash, Mute, and Dokkaebi, supporting varied tactics across attack and defense.
Play options and progression
Players can queue for Ranked competition, jump into Quick Play, or organize private matches for coordinated squads. An integrated tutorial covers fundamentals – useful for first-time Siege players and mobile-focused newcomers alike. Ubisoft plans to expand the game on a seasonal basis, adding fresh content over time.

Regional availability ahead of launch
Before the global release, Rainbow Six Mobile is available in Poland, France, Canada, and across Latin America. The broader rollout on February 23 standardizes access across regions on both major mobile platforms.
How it fits the Siege formula on mobile
Built around the 5v5 attacker–defender structure, Rainbow Six Mobile translates Siege’s map knowledge and operator synergy to shorter, touch-optimized matches. The inclusion of established Siege locales, alongside Restaurant and Summit, aims to balance familiarity with new layouts tailored for mobile play.
Bottom line – what players should expect
Why it matters – Rainbow Six Mobile sets a firm date and a clear feature set: objective-driven 5v5, a sizeable operator lineup, and a mix of classic and exclusive maps. If you value tactical rounds and role interplay, February 23 marks the start of a season-based roadmap on phones.
