Star Wars Outlaws is now available on Game Pass Ultimatesignificant overhaul of stealth and combat options. The current build also supports blaster fire while riding a speeder and clearer enemy detection cues. In parallel, Ubisoft has released two paid story packs that broaden Kay Vess’s journey and connect it to familiar faces from the wider Star Wars canon. The game is playable on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Game Pass.

The version arriving on subscription includes post‑launch updates that reshape moment‑to‑moment play. Sections that once enforced a stealth route now allow multiple approaches – sneaking remains viable, but shootouts are a legitimate path through the same missions. Enemy awareness has been tuned with more readable detection indicators, giving players better feedback before alarms are raised. Combat flexibility expands further with the ability to fire your blaster while driving a speeder, useful when pirates or raiders close in.

As the series’ first fully open-world entry, Outlaws emphasizes freeform exploration across planets. Hidden Treasures yield practical gains – intel on illicit operators, upgrades for Nix, handy Sabacc tricks, and salvage that can be exchanged for credits. Progression hinges on finding specialists: one might teach slicing techniques for quieter infiltrations, while others unlock new shooting skills, weapon options, and speeder upgrades for a louder approach.

Story decisions push Kay into uneasy alliances. Backing particular crime syndicates and characters – or turning on them – confers different advantages, and every choice carries consequences that shape the arc of the campaign.

New story content: Wild Card and A Pirate’s Fortune

  • Wild Card – Kay infiltrates a high-stakes Sabacc tournament aboard the casino cruiser Morenia. The job intertwines with a deeper scheme, and she crosses paths with Lando Calrissian, who lends his signature double-draw savvy to tilt the odds.
  • A Pirate’s Fortune – A hunt for legendary treasure in the Khepi system pits Kay and Nix against the Rokana Raiders. They partner with Hondo Ohnaka – recognized from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels – whose quick wit compensates for a missing crew and ship. This pack is designed for play after completing the main campaign.

Both are paid add-ons. They are included with the Gold Edition, Ultimate Edition, and Season Pass, and are also sold separately.

Setting the tone: the galaxy’s underworld

Outlaws takes a grounded look at the franchise’s darker corners. From the dunes of Toshara to the frozen lanes of Kijimi, the journey leans into backroom deals and syndicate turf. Spending time in settlements and cantinas organically surfaces leads, side jobs, and hidden stashes, reinforcing the scoundrel fantasy over traditional heroics.

Why it matters

For players, the takeaway is straightforward: the Game Pass version arrives with meaningful flexibility in how missions play out, clearer feedback during stealth, and expanded traversal combat. The two new story packs add post-campaign adventures tied to well-known characters, giving returning scoundrels a reason to dive back in and newcomers a roadmap for what comes after the main story.
