The Outer Worlds 2 lands with global Moon AR tie‑in on Snapchat

Xbox has rolled out The Outer Worlds 2 across major platforms and paired the launch with a cross‑media activation on Snapchat. A new AR Lens uses celestial tracking to overlay the game’s Moon Man character onto the real Moon, syncing with the lunar cycle. The experience is designed to work globally and will run in the lead‑up to the full moon on November 6, 2025. The game arrives with Xbox Play Anywhere support and is included on launch day with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

According to Xbox, The Outer Worlds 2 is available today on the following platforms:

The title is designated as Xbox Play Anywhere, and it is included day one with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
Snapchat AR Lens: lunar tracking, global scope
Xbox and Snapchat introduced an AR Lens that leverages celestial tracking to align with the Moon. When the feature is active, users can see the game’s Moon Man character appear on the lunar surface with animated scenes and short vignettes. Xbox states the AR Lens is intended for a global audience and will be available in the run‑up to the full moon on November 6, 2025.
