C4SH rolls into Borderlands 4 with Q1 2026 Story Pack
Borderlands 4 is getting a new playable Vault Hunter named C4SH, revealed during the series’ panel at Tokyo Game Show 2025. The character debuts alongside the first post-launch Story Pack titled Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned, planned for Q1 2026. The add-on introduces a new area on Kairos and multiple main and side missions, plus fresh gear to chase. C4SH’s kit leans hard into randomness and risk, aiming to reward bold plays. The publisher’s roadmap also points to ongoing, free updates with new challenges for all players.
Who is C4SH and why he fits this expansion

C4SH is a former casino dealer bot turned drifter, drawn to probability-bending relics and cursed artifacts. That obsession aligns with Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned’s focus on cosmic horrors and uncanny curios – a setting that thematically supports a character built around luck and calculated gambles.
How C4SH plays: chance-driven tools, deliberate payoffs

Like other Vault Hunters, C4SH has three Action Skills and access to three skill trees – each with three branches of passives and Action Skill modifiers. The twist is that his abilities introduce an element of chance, pushing a risk-reward style that can result in party buffs, heavy damage spikes, enemy debuffs, and more. Full mechanical breakdowns are not yet public, with additional details to come ahead of release.
