Borderlands 4 Sets Co-Op Revive Push with “Til Death Do Us Part”
Borderlands 4 is rolling out a limited-time Community Challenge built around cooperative play on the world of Kairos. Titled “Til Death Do Us Part”, the event runs Feb 12-15 and tracks successful teammate revives across co-op sessions. If the community reaches the stated target of 500,000 successful revives, a universal cosmetic drops for everyone via SHiFT. The timing coincides with a fresh update, which introduces more punishing boss rotations that are likely to increase the demand for clutch revivals.
The reward on the line is the “You’re So Vein” Vault Hunter skin, usable by all playable characters. The studio notes that standard matchmaking is available for players who want to group up during the window.

How the Co-Op Challenge Works
The format is straightforward and emphasizes coordinated survival rather than raw damage or speedrunning. Below are the core details confirmed by the official announcement.
- Dates: Feb 12-15
- Objective: Community-wide total of 500,000 successful revives on downed teammates in co-op
- Reward: “You’re So Vein” Vault Hunter skin (applies to all Vault Hunters)
- Distribution: Reward delivered via SHiFT code if the target is met
Update Synergy: Tougher Boss Encores
The February 12 Minor Update aligns with the challenge by activating three Weekly Big Encore Boss fights. These encounters are described as especially demanding, which naturally raises the stakes around team survivability and revives.

Practically, that means more situations where players will need to stabilize allies under pressure—directly feeding into the event’s revive counter. It’s a design nudge that turns boss weeks into a cooperative stress test.
Redemption Details and Previous Rewards
If the community hits the goal, the SHiFT code will be shareable and redeemable by all players with the usual requirements: a copy of Borderlands 4, a SHiFT Account, and an Internet connection. The publisher specifies a redemption deadline of December 31, 2030 and a limit of one redemption per SHiFT Account.
Players who missed earlier Community Challenge skins can still find the previously released SHiFT codes on the official Borderlands 4 site.
Why It Matters – a Co-Op Stress Test with a Universal Cosmetic
This event focuses on team resilience rather than leaderboard dominance, rewarding players for keeping each other in the fight. If you plan to jump into co-op during Feb 12-15, every revive contributes to a global, all-players-unlock cosmetic—making even routine rescues part of a bigger community effort.
