2K confirmed that Borderlands 4’s Harlowe-focused Community Challenge – titled “Traunts Don’t Need a Reason” – has been completed. Players collectively finished 571,670 Contracts, a target built around Harlowe the Gravitar’s toolkit. The wrap-up unlocks a cosmetic for Harlowe and recaps three earlier rewards for the rest of the roster. The challenge ran across four weekends and centered on elemental takedowns.
The announcement also highlights Harlowe’s narrative thread and points players to her character short, while setting out the SHiFT details and the redemption window.
What the challenge involved
The event leaned into Harlowe’s methodical, finish-the-job persona while riffing on the Traunt family’s fight-to-the-end reputation. In-game, that translated to a focus on Cryo and Radiation damage – a natural fit for the Gravitar – as the community stacked completions to hit the global mark of 571,670.
