Borderlands 4 has rolled out its first free, limited‑time Seasonal Mini‑Event, dubbed Horrors of Kairos. Running from October 23 to November 6, the event retools world boss encounters with a grim twist and adds fresh rewards. According to the official announcement, all world boss fights now play out under terror‑inducing blood rain. The update also introduces two new Legendary items tied to world boss kill rewards. The event was first shown during the studio’s PAX Australia post‑launch content panel.

Horrors of Kairos is available to all Borderlands 4 players for a limited time. During the event period, the changes apply specifically to all world boss encounters, altering battle ambience and reward pools without modifying the broader campaign structure.
