Borderlands 4 community hits Vex goal – next up, Harlowe finale
Borderlands 4 players have completed the Vex-focused Community Challenge “Death 4 All.” The objective centered on Vex the Siren and her crowd-control prowess, echoing her role in the character short “Purple Friday.” The community collectively destroyed 2,333,013 Drill Sites, cutting through waves of Rippers along the way. As a result, a SHiFT code for a new Vex skin is now available. Gearbox also signaled what’s coming next – the Harlowe finale and a tease for a new Vault Hunter.
Challenge outcome: Vex’s mob control put to the test

The completed Community Challenge – titled “Death 4 All” – revolved around using Vex’s kit to withstand swarming enemies. Players leveraged her tools and allies to push through the target, culminating in 2,333,013 Drill Sites taken down. The event ties directly to Vex’s chaos-ready identity showcased in the character short “Purple Friday.”
Reward unlocked: Vex skin via SHiFT
With the milestone reached, Gearbox released a code for Vex’s “Mass Market Appeal” Vault Hunter skin:

The code is usable by Vex. According to the official notice, redemptions must be completed by December 31, 2030; a SHiFT account and an online connection are required, and it’s limited to one redemption per account.
Context: the “Purple Friday” tie-in
The challenge theme mirrors Vex’s ability to disrupt and survive mobs, as depicted during the Mercenary Sale in her “Purple Friday” short. You can revisit that sequence here:
By aligning the challenge with the short, Gearbox highlights how Vex’s toolkit translates from cinematic chaos into live goals the community can coordinate around.
