What’s new and where it’s live

ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN has rolled out a cross‑platform update bringing fresh targets, economy tweaks, and a bug notice for its latest DLC. The patch arrives on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The build identifies as App Ver. 1.03.1 with Regulation Ver. 1.03.3. Alongside gameplay adjustments in Deep of Night mode, the team has acknowledged a DLC item loss issue and outlined a near‑term remedy.

Below are the key changes, the known issue, and how to verify you’re on the correct regulation files for online play.

Deep of Night – new target and balance passes

  • Enhanced Balancers, Salvation’s Standard‑Bearers can now spawn as a target in Deep of Night if you own The Forsaken Hollows DLC – this boss only appears when matched with players who also own the DLC.
  • Relic gains increased on victory and defeat in Deep of Night when the target is from The Forsaken Hollows DLC.
  • Depth scaling adjusted – the increase/decrease rate after victory/defeat is tuned when the gap between your Expedition depth and your own depth level is greater than two.

Known issue in The Forsaken Hollows DLC

The team reports a bug where certain DLC rewards may disappear: some costumes for Scholar and Undertaker, plus unique Relics obtainable only once in the DLC. A forthcoming update is planned to enable re‑acquisition of affected items – timing was not specified. The studio apologizes for the inconvenience.

Versions, platforms, and updating

Two identifiers ship with this rollout – one for the application build, one for gameplay regulation. Check the lower‑right corner of the title screen to confirm the versions below.

Update identifiers and platforms – at a glance

This table summarizes the live versions and targeted platforms. Console users should also read the note that follows on regulation file delivery.

Application version App Ver. 1.03.1 PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Steam
Gameplay regulation Regulation Ver. 1.03.3 PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Steam

Console note – on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, regulation files are delivered by logging in to the server. If your title screen does not show Regulation Ver. 1.03.3, select LOGIN to apply the latest regulation. Online play requires this update; after downloading the update file, restart the game to apply it.

Bottom line – why it matters

Deep of Night gets a tougher DLC‑gated target and faster Relic flow, while depth‑gap tuning aims to keep runs fair when matchmaking spans different progression levels. If you own The Forsaken Hollows, expect richer encounters – and if your DLC items vanished, a re‑acquisition patch is on the way. Before heading online, verify Regulation Ver. 1.03.3 on the title screen to ensure you’re match‑ready.
