Cade headlines NBA 2K26 Season 3 as Sunset Beach returns to The City
2K has outlined what’s changing in NBA 2K26 with the arrival of Season 3, led by Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham. The update focuses on on-court progression and content across The City, MyCAREER, MyTEAM, and The W Online. The Park relocates to a remastered Sunset Beach from NBA 2K16, while MyTEAM adds a level-based card track featuring current stars and legends. There’s also a dedicated mobile companion for MyTEAM with account linking and cross-progression.
Season 3 trailer:

The City: Sunset Beach rotates in
The Park moves from City Heights to Sunset Beach, a remaster of the NBA 2K16 locale. The coastal map features signature set dressing – a towering volcano, a massive aquarium, and a lazy river – framing the courts. All Park matchups in Season 3 provide a 25% REP boost, and squads can mark their momentum by establishing themselves as a Streak Setter through win streaks.

Note – The City is available on New Gen platforms only.
MyCAREER: featured builds from the community

Season 3 expands Community Builds, adding new three-level playmaking templates from top creators. Players can test playstyles across the lineup and fine-tune roles without starting from scratch.
- PG – Lumpia Doncic: Thieving Inside-Out Playmaker
- SG – JPforThreee: 2-Way 3PT Slasher
- SF – Gunyr UR: 2-Way 3-Level Shot Creator
- PF – MakeEmMiss: Rim-Rocking Stretch Crasher
- C – OmniKingBo: Physical Mid-Paint Rim Ripper

The W Online: seasonal rotation

The W Online adds winter-themed rewards and features Las Vegas Aces content, including jersey cards, across weekly and seasonal tracks. Players can also earn mode-specific boosts and progression items during Season 3.
Note – The W Online is available on New Gen platforms only.

Bottom line – what players get this season
Sunset Beach returns with a 25% REP boost in Park games, Community Builds broaden viable playstyles, and MyTEAM’s level track culminates in Galaxy Opal Anthony Edwards.
